THE BRIDGE IS OUT!

A preacher was driving home one night with his wife and two daughters in the car. It was raining and dark and because of the intensity of the rain he could hardly see past his headlights. On the way he had to drive over a huge bridge. There were signs posted all alongthe bridge that said “DO NOT PICK HITCH-HIKERS.” There was an institute for the criminally insane near the base of the bridge and sometimes people would escape from it and try to hitch a ride.
On this particular night, as he turned his car on to the bridge, he had to drive exceptionally slow because he could hardly see the road. Somewhere near the top of the bridge a man suddenly appeared in the headlights. He was soaked, standing in the middle of the road with his shirt off frantically waving it over his head and screaming.
This preacher’s wife began to say, “Oh please don’t stop, try to drive around him!” But the man was unavoidable and there was nowhere for the car to go to miss him. So he had to stop the car and as soon as he did, the man slapped his hand down on the hood of the car and was screaming at the top of his lungs.
The preacher looked over at his wife and said to lock the door after him and not to unlock it until he returned. His family was now crying and pleading with him not to get out of the car. He opened the door and stepped outside…He was immediately soaked from the rain. As he approached the front of the car to grab the man, all of a sudden he could make out what the man was screaming, “THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT! A BUS LOAD OF KIDS JUST WENT OVER!” As these words registered in the pastor’s mind, he looked back in the car at his wife and two daughters. He wrapped his arm around the man and wept in gratitude. The preacher stood there with the man for the next half-hour in the middle of the road, waving his jacket above his head screaming.”THE BRIDGE IS OUT! THE BRIDGE IS OUT!”
For a lost and a dying world,
“THE BRIDGE IS OUT!”
For a people heading to a Christless Eternity,
“THE BRIDGE IS OUT!”
where are the men and the women who will stand in the middle of the road and forbid people to perish ?
HELL HAS OPENED IT’S MOUTH WIDE AND MANY ARE SPEEDING INTO IT
Where are those who will stand in the gap, on the streets, the highways and the byways to forbid multitudes with the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST from going to such a horrible place ?

Beauty of silence

Auntie Sarah

A seed grows with no sound, but a tree falls with huge noise. Destruction has noise, but creation is silent. In your success remain silent as there is power in silence. Grow Silently. Cultivate Silence
A farmer discovered that he had lost his watch in the barn. It was no ordinary watch because it had sentimental value for him. After searching high and low among the hay for a long while, he gave up and enlisted the help of a group of children playing outside the barn. He promised them that the person who found it would be rewarded. Hearing this, the children hurried inside the barn, went through and around the entire stack of hay but still could not find the watch. Just when the farmer was about to give up looking for his watch, a little boy went up to him and asked to be given another chance…

Inspiring Stories #16

A man had one very beautiful daughter.
When the daughter was ready for marriage, the father sent news around town that all the eligible young men should come to compete in a test
which would determine who was fit to marry his daughter.
On that day, all was set, all the able-bodied young men came out. Some came with paper and biro and others with cutlasses and swords.
The rich man took them to his
swimming pool and addressed the men: “Any of you who can swim from one end of this swimming pool to the other would marry my daughter.
In addition, I‘ll give him 15million dollars, a car and a house so they can start life well. I shall be waiting to meet my son-in-law at the other end. Good luck!”
As the young men, all very excited at the prospect of winning, started taking off their shirts, a helicopter came over the pool and dropped
alligators and crocodiles into the pool. Immediately, all the men turned back and started wearing their shirts again. Disappointed, some of them said, ”That’s crazy,.lets see who would marry that girl ,no one will’.
All of a sudden, they heard a splash in the pool. Everybody watched in amazement as one gentleman waddled across, expertly avoiding the alligators and crocodiles.
Finally, he made it to the other side. The rich man could not believe it. He asked the young man to name anything he wanted but the man was still panting uncontrollably.
Finally, he got back to his senses and made a request saying, ”SHOW ME THE PERSON WHO PUSHED ME INSIDE THIS POOL!”
Moral 1:
You don’t know what you are capable of doing until you are PUSHED!!.
Moral 2:
Those seeking to push you into the jaws of alligators and crocodiles may have helped you to reach your promised land!!!
Sometimes it takes going through the bad moments to bring out the BEST in us.
Trials are raw materials for Triumphant Testimonies… The push might take different
dimensions: some people needed to be sacked before realizing their potentials and reaching their goals in life.
I PRAY YOU WILL GET A DIVINELY INSPIRED PUSH in your life this year.

A Guy who has no job got married to a banker, despite his fears and several advices that it’s not good to marry without a job. Every month the girl Would give the guy her full salary of N80,000 after removing her tithe. The guy would give the wife N20.000 for personal upkeep and the guy determined what happened to the remaining money.
This happened for 3 good years. There was happiness in the family and the wife never refused to do her primary home duties for that 3 years, despite wrong advice from friends that ‘you can’t be paying the bills and
still be doing all the work’.
There was a particular month the guy used
about N50.000 to travel from region to region for different interviews. He finally got a job with a good firm. His salary was N380,000 monthly for a start. He bought his first car (a brand new) for 2.2million naira he gave the wife the car key,& continued to take public transport to work for about 3 years. Then he bought the 2nd car for 4 million took the keys of the first car & gave his wife the keys of the 2nd car. They eventually moved into their own house after few years. One day, the wife was looking for some documents. She stumbled on a file neatly hidden, when she opened it, she saw her wedding picture when she was very slim in the first page of the file. She then saw that the document the purchase of the land and every other thing in the house were
all written in her name! At the last page was the husband’s wedding picture and a note
written by him:
”MY WIFE IS ALL I HAVE GOT. NOT EVEN THIS HOUSE WORTH 100 millions AT THE TIME I BUILT IS MINE” .
Tears started to roll down her eyes. This couple got married in 1998. Last Sunday was their wedding anniversary, blessed with 3 children. True LOVE still exists till this day. Are you sure the love you have for your partner can be compared to this one you just read? No matter what remember you chose
each other. It doesn’t matter who puts food on the table or who pays the bills. Always know, NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT.
Now I pray that God will surely lead you to your destined life partner

Inspiring stories #13

Let’s see it this way,,, you are a person walking down the streets. You come across that kid sitting on the cold veranda. She is hungry, cold, and weary. Come to think about the dangers she is exposed to, she is dirty, almost naked, ugly looking to ordinary eyes, and the bottle of gum in her mouth for breakfast and without assurance of anything else. You don’t know her but compassion drives the better part of you. You feel pity, love and kind of responsibility and decide to take her with you. You give anything needed to care, love and nature the child. You struggle to give love that she was never aware of, show her how much she means to the world, help her realize she is worthy ;give her hope and power to keep her moving..
In one way or another she sins against you. She is filled with guilt. She can no longer approach you, can’t look in your eye. She suffers in silence. She is not sure if you can love her again. Communication ceases. All falls apart in her life. She is desperate. How much she craves for forgiveness.

You are hurt, feel Betrayed all because you are human, All the same you forgive her due to the love you have for her. All you need is for her to confess, release her feelings and build back the connection you foundationed together.

Same way, God picked you up. All messy with sin. Cleaned you up and continued to love you unconditionally. When you sin you feel guilty. Feel like you lost it all. *You* *doubt* *your* *salvation*. Feel like things are not going to be the same. ;all God awaits is for you to confess and build the connection again.

Dear child that feel like it’s over, stop locking your self out. Stand up, dust off, wipe your tears and confess,

*He* is waiting for that very voice.

_A friend of mine opened his wife’s wardrobe and picked up a silk paper wrapped package._

_”This,” he said, “isn’t any ordinary package.”_

_He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box and silk satin dresses inside._

_”She got this the first time we went to New York , 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on , was saving it for a special occasion. Well, I guess this is it.”_

_He turned to me and said, “never save something for a ‘special occasion’. Every day in your life is a *’Special occasion'”*_

_I still think those words changed my life._

_Now I read more and clean less._

_I sit on the porch without worrying about anything._

_I spend more time with my family, and less at work._

*_I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through._*

_I no longer keep anything._

_I use crystal glasses every day._

_I’ll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it._

*_I don’t save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to._*

_The words *’Someday….’ and ‘ One Day…’*are fading away from my dictionary._

_If it’s worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now._

_I don’t know what my friend’s wife would have done if she knew she wouldn’t be there the next morning, this nobody can tell._

_*Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.*_

_Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one._
